Boar Hunts

Cedar Canyon

Located 4 hours north of San Diego - in the scenic mountains just west of Tehachapi, Cedar Canyon operates a great bowhunting opportunity for the beginner through advanced hunter.

The property is 640 acres (1 mile square) of prime pig habitat. The unique feature of Cedar Canyon is that they have pure European Boar. Large heads and teeth with a surly attitude is what you can expect from these beasts. And the meat is excellent.

We highly recommend this hunt. It is high fenced, but still a very challenging hunt.

Tejon Ranch

Located 3 hours north of San Diego, just off I-5 before you get to Bakersfield, Tejon Ranch encompases 280,000 acres of the most diverse game habitat you will ever see.

You'll see deer, turkey, coyotes, and maybe some elk - not to mention scenery like no other. Tejon has several programs. Their guided hunts are expensive, but all inclusive. For instance, their guaranteed opportunity price is about $950.00.

They also have an off season hunt package that runs from February 15 though August 1 (approximately). This package entitles you to full access of the ranch, except when they have a pigs-o-rama (another hunting opportunity). You can hunt small game in season, fish their well stocked ponds and add up to 2 pig tags. This is an awesome package for the flexible do-it-yourself kind of person.

Bighorn Canyon Ranch

Just 1.5 hours north of San Diego, in Riverside County, BCR has a variety of exotic sheep, goats, and pigs. It's a great place for the beginning archer to get some experience. It's also great for an intermediate hunter who wants to get ready for a big hunt or just unwind close to home.

Wit a 100% success rate, BCR is popular with people on a short time schedule, too. They are high fenced.
