Red Stags and Hunting Down Under

Hunting down under is similar to North America except its seasons are 6 months different, putting the prime quarry Red Stags in the full roar (rut) at the end of March into early April. The red stag is like our elk on steroids with lots of non-typical points as standard equipment.

There are lots of other species that can be hunted as well. Shane Quinn of Alpine Hunting has the best bowhunting friendly operation in New Zealand. The property is large, and its vast mountainous alpine ridges give way to rolling grassy benches, well suited for spot and stalk bowhunting.

Alpine hunting also has quite a few strategically placed "hides" to ambush game at close range. Great time of the year, great experience, and spectacular game animal.

Silver medal packages start at $4500.00.
